'I do try to say, God's will be done, sir,' said the squire, looking up at Mr. Gibson for the first time, and speaking with more life in his voice; 'but it is harder to be resigned than happy people think.'
"It's like, for peace or anything, it's all down to this relationship. To work on this relationship with Yoko is very hard, and we've got the gift of love. But love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard, or just think it's gonna get on with itself. You gotta keep watering it. You've got to really look after it, and be careful of it, and keep the flies off and see that it's alright, and nurture it. And to get a relationship between two people is a start. And then if we two can make it, maybe we can make it with you. And from maybe us four-- you and yours-- we can make it with the next four. It's only that. There's no sort of ANSWER."
This morning we had some crazy fog in Portland. Going up the tram it looked like we were flying up above the actual clouds, it was so thick. I love fog, it's one of my favorite weather conditions :) Here are a few pictures I took on my way in to work.
In other news, it appears that Whole Foods "will divest 19 former Wild Oats stores that were closed, 12 operating Wild Oats stores, one operating Whole Foods store, and Wild Oats' trademarks and other intellectual property" to settle a government antitrust lawsuit against them regarding the shady acquisition of Wild Oats and circumstances surrounding.
Yay for businesses that actually carry out *legal* business practices.
The album comes out tomorrow, but you can listen to it today at their website. These are lyrics from one of the new songs. Cheers!
Stand up, this is comedy
The DNA lotto may have left you smart
But can you stand up to beauty
Dictator of the heart
I can stand up for hope, faith, love
But while I’m getting over certainty
Stop helping God across the road like a little old lady
