It drives me crazy that so many people feel like it is completely reasonable to literally floor the gas pedal to pass me at 35-40mph on a small, 2-lane city street, in the oncoming traffic lane, across a double yellow line, just because I happen to be on a bike and they're impatient. You don't see people passing other people in cars like that, but it happens to me once a week on a bike. I could write a very long post about why this is so wrong, but suffice it to say, they could easily rear-end me on accident at 35-40mph, and I would never get up. Death by impatience. It happens all the time.
